Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Procurement Forester located in Four Oaks, NC. The Procurement Forester will be responsible for sourcing and acquiring timber resources, negotiating contracts, evaluating land and forest stands, and coordinating sustainable forestry practices. Day-to-day tasks include assessing timber value, collaborating with landowners, managing timber harvesting operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory policies and environmental standards to support sustainable forestry goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in Forestry, Timber procurement, and Timber management
• Knowledge of Vegetation Management and sustainable land practices
• Familiarity with Wildlife conservation principles in forestry operations
• Strong negotiation, communication, and project management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, or a related field
• Ability to work on-site and travel to job sites as required
• Understanding of North Carolina and southeastern U.S. forestry laws and practices
• GIS or mapping technology experience is beneficial
