Real Estate Attorney

Location: Warren, Michigan (100% in-office)

Travel: Less than 25%

Reports To: President

Company: Crown Enterprises, LLC

Salary: $125,000 or higher, based on experience

Role Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Real Estate Attorney to support our Vice President of Legal as well as our portfolio and project management teams across a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial properties. This position will touch all aspects of real estate.

Key Responsibilities

Draft and review contracts for the acquisition, disposition, and leasing of real estate throughout North America.
Draft, negotiate, and review commercial contracts and other real estate related documents.
Perform due diligence, including title, survey and zoning; work with portfolio team on closing real estate transactions.
Conduct legal and other research of issues as they arise.
Manage outside counsel.
Identify and mitigate risk.

Ideal Candidate Profile

2-5 years of meaningful experience in real estate transactions and leases. Ability to draft all types of real estate documents as well as perform title and survey review.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, take ownership of projects to completion, and act with a sense of urgency.
Ability to provide practical, solution-oriented advice that aligns with the company’s broader business strategy and objectives.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Other desired, but not required, experience: land use and zoning, eminent domain / condemnation, construction, regulatory, environmental, financing, and commercial litigation.
Must be available to work full-time in-office at our Warren, Michigan headquarters
