We're looking for a knowledgeable and driven Automation Technician to join our team. In this key role, you'll be essential in supporting our local customers with their automation needs, from project design and commissioning to ongoing service work often requiring travel to various client sites and crucial support for our field crews.
This position offers an exceptional opportunity for continuous learning, providing exposure to a vast assortment of equipment and technologies. While you'll primarily focus on industrial and municipal sites, you'll also provide vital technical assistance to our oil & gas field technicians.
Requirements:
Seeking Automation Technicians with an associate’s degree in SCADA Engineering and 5-10+ years of field experience
Job Responsibilities:
In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for a wide range of activities, including:
- Bidding on new projects and contributing to project acquisition
- Designing robust industrial control panels
- Programming complex control systems to meet project specifications
- Working extensively with instrumentation and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Commissioning new projects to ensure seamless operation
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues with existing equipment, working with a diverse array of manufacturers' systems
Knowledge, Skill & Abilities:
Be familiar with PLC, HMI, and VFD programming (Allen-Bradley preferably). Understand fundamental basics of electricity and how to read wiring schematics.
