HSAGP (Hyundai-SK America Green power) Energy LLC. is Hyundai Motor Group and SK On' s joint venture company to produce batteries for electric vehicle batteries. The joint venture plans to invest $5 billion to build an EV battery cell plant in Bartow County, Georgia. Hyundai Motor Group and SK On will each hold a 50 percent stake in the joint venture. The new plant created by the two companies is expected to start manufacturing battery cells in the first half of 2026 with an annual production capacity of 35 GWh, enough to support the production of 300,000 EVs a year. The future Bartow County plant in northwest Georgia is strategically located near Hyundai Motor Group’s existing and planned U.S. facilities. Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Process Safety Implementation

• implementation of health and safety programs aligned with the companies' policies, NFPA regulations, OSHA requirements, and all other industry regulations.
• Monitoring routine / non-routine tasks in production environments.

Job hazard Analysis and Hazard Identification

• Conduct regular site inspections, evaluate and report the findings to relevant parties. Ensuring all aspects of corrective actions are identified.
• Working under the direction of SHE Sr. Specialists and collaborating with production management to access the risk level of identified hazards, the mitigation of identified hazards, and training of the identified hazards.

Compliance with Regulations and Standards

• Conduct periodic safety inspections to maintain compliance. Work with safety committee team on sub-area committee inspections.
• Ensuring proper PPE and Safety Equipment is utilized and functional.

Employee training and Outreach

• Present and support safety training sessions for employees.
• Supporting HSAGP's specific "safety culture"
• Ensure employees know emergency protocols and the steps for evacuation or shelter in place due to inclement weather patterns.

Incident Reporting and Investigation

• Document and report near misses, incidents, and accidents to relevant parties
• Assist with investigations and work with SHE Sr. Specialists and Supervisors to identify corrective actions.

Promoting Safety Culture

• Foster culture of safety by promoting open communication about safety related concerns.
• Encourage due diligence and personal responsibility for reporting potential and immediate hazards.
• Collaborate and act as a point of contact for employees and management.

Vendor Management

• Manage the relationship with office service vendors, evaluate their performance, and make recommendations as appropriate.

Skill and Qualifications:

• Associate's degree
• Related job experience with more than 3 years in safety
• Experience in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Clear communication skills; ability to communicate to all levels of HSAGP Energy staff team
• Ability to provide and conduct safety related training
• Previous EHS experience (required)
• OSHA 10 or 30 hour (required)
• OSHA 500 (preferred)
• OSHA Hazwoper 8 hour (required) , 40 hours (preferred)
