Part-Time Math Teacher – The New School, Kennebunk, ME

The New School in Kennebunk, Maine, is seeking a part-time Math Teacher (8-10 hours a week) for the 2025–2026 school year to teach one section of Personal Finance . 

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, dynamic, and deeply student-centered school that values innovation, creativity, and a commitment to supporting diverse learners, including neurodivergent students.

• Have experience teaching high school-level math , especially geometry and practical, real-world applications like personal finance .
• Be enthusiastic about project-based learning and alternative assessments .
• Be able to make math engaging, hands-on, and relevant , especially for students who may not thrive in traditional math classrooms.
• Have experience or interest in working with neurodivergent learners and small, mixed-age classes .
• Embrace student voice and choice , adapting curriculum to individual needs and interests using differentiated instruction.
• Collaborate well with a small faculty team in a progressive, mission-driven learning environment.
• Maine Teaching Certificate in Math preferred.
