About the Role

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and environmental needs. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address specific conditions and enhance daily living skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapy services to clients in individual and group settings.
• Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve functional independence.
• Monitor patients' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed to promote optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families to promote well-being and coping strategies.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of CA.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a similar setting.
• NBCOT certification preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Valid CA Driver’s license.

Documentary Requirements

• Mandatory Physical (within the last year). You may bring a note from your physician prior to the Orientation Date
• Mandatory TB (within the last year) OR Chest X-ray (within the last 5 years)
• MMR immunization or titer showing immunity prior to your Orientation Date
• Varicella immunization or titer showing immunity prior to your Orientation Date
• Hep B immunization or titer showing immunity prior to your Orientation Date
• TDAP vaccination or declination prior to your Orientation Date
• Yearly Influenza vaccination or declination prior to your Orientation Date
• COVID vaccination or declination prior to your Orientation Date
