Certified Medical Assistant

Pay range: $22 - $26 based on experience

Hours: 8am – 5pm Monday-Friday

Work locations: Bradenton/Sarasota areas

Temp-to-perm

Medical Assistant Summary:

We’re looking for a compassionate, organized, and skilled Medical Assistant to support our providers in delivering top-notch care. This role involves assisting with exams and procedures, triaging patients, updating records, and ensuring smooth patient flow. Travel to other clinic locations may be required on short notice.

Responsibilities:

• Record vitals, conduct patient interviews, and accurately chart information
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and minor treatments
• Perform triage, immunizations, EKGs, and phlebotomy
• Complete medication and DME authorizations
• Prepare exam rooms, manage inventory, and ensure cleanliness
• Maintain patient safety and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
• Train and mentor new staff
• Review and prepare medical records ahead of patient visits
• Participate in quality improvement and community events

Medical Assistant Requirements:

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (1-2 years experience preferred)
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association, Red Cross, or equivalent)
• ACLS certification required for cardio department only
• Valid state or government-issued ID
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and perform physical tasks typical in a clinical setting
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
