Job Description

Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Staff member to join our team in Hoffman Estates - 3x week onsite. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for public accounting and a commitment to delivering exceptional tax services to clients. You will play a key part in managing client accounts, preparing tax returns, and providing strategic tax planning solutions. Responsibilities: - Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns with accuracy and efficiency. - Manage client accounts by ensuring compliance, maintaining regular communication, and addressing their tax-related needs. - Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and offer tailored tax planning and projections. - Supervise and mentor entry-level staff, supporting their growth and development. - Collaborate with offshore team members to ensure seamless service delivery. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state tax regulations to ensure compliance. - Assist in business development initiatives to contribute to the firm's growth. - Ensure timely completion and delivery of tax services to meet client expectations. - Provide leadership in managing a book of business and strengthening client relationships. Benefits - health insurance, 401K, vacation and holiday pay Requirements - At least 3 years of experience in tax preparation and client management, preferably in public accounting. - CPA license or Enrolled Agent certification is preferred. - Strong understanding of tax laws and compliance processes. - Proficiency in UltraTax, Qount, and Microsoft Office Suite. - Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a focus on client service. - Familiarity with CCH ProSystem Fx or similar tax software. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively. - Experience with individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
