Job Description

Job Title: Surgical Technologist-OR

Location: Newberg, Oregon, 97132

Contract duration: 13 weeks

Shift:4X10-hours

Schedule: Days

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are available and functioning properly.
• Assist the surgical team by anticipating needs and passing instruments and supplies during procedures.
• Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Collaborate with surgeons, RNs, anesthesia, and support staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
• Handle and label specimens accurately and safely.
• Assist in room turnover, cleaning, and restocking to support department flow.
• Participate in call coverage as assigned, including nights and weekends.
• General Surgery
• Orthopedics
• ENT
• OB/GYN
• Plastics
• Urology
• Laparoscopic and open procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum Experience: 2 years recent OR experience
• CST
• BLS
• Charting System: Epic (experience preferred)
• On-Call: Required (overnights & weekends)
• Weekend: On-call only rotation
