Role Purpose
As a Superintendent, you will oversee daily field operations to ensure project success. This includes supervising all field team members, maintaining a safe work environment, managing planning and scheduling, controlling costs and quality, coordinating subcontractors, and delivering top-tier construction services.
Responsibilities - Secure job site office, storage facilities, and utilities (water and electricity).
- Review and become familiar with contract documents, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals.
- Manage and submit daily reports: timecards, field reports, schedule updates, RFIs, and email correspondence.
- Conduct pre-construction meetings with subcontractors, ensuring adherence to standards and work plans.
- Manage the project schedule and communicate changes to all relevant parties.
- Ensure all teams comply with safety policies and procedures.
- Lead and participate in pre-construction, progress, and project staff meetings.
- Monitor project progress, cost reports, schedules, and completion requirements.
- Utilize available technology to track progress and keep the team informed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience, including internships, Field Engineer, or Assistant Superintendent roles with a general contractor.
- Ground-up construction experience.
- Strong understanding of building processes and systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Procore.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable for different audiences.
- Must be willing to travel.
Physical/Work Requirements
- Ability to walk job sites, climb stairs/ladders, and navigate work areas under construction.
- Specific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available to travel more than 50% of the time.
