AutoCAD Electrical Designer – Substation (Hybrid, Temp-to-Hire)

Hybrid – Must reside within 50 miles of Houston or Dallas office (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Summary

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE) designer with a strong background in the substation industry. Ideal candidates will have 3–5 years of experience using AutoCAD Electrical, preferably with Substation Design Suite (SDS). Candidates who have substation design experience using AutoCAD Electrical but lack SDS expertise are still encouraged to apply — training on SDS will be provided. However, substation industry experience is required .

Responsibilities

• Create and modify substation electrical designs using AutoCAD Electrical and SDS (if applicable)
• Collaborate with engineering teams to produce accurate and timely design deliverables
• Independently support drafting and design tasks for substation projects
• Learn and apply SDS tools if not already proficient

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of experience with AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE)
• 3-5 years of substation design experience
• Familiarity with Substation Design Suite (SDS) is highly preferred
• Ability to work independently on design/drafting tasks
• Must be able to work hybrid (3 days onsite/week) and live within 50 miles of an office
