As a Software Engineer Intern , you will be responsible for designing and maintaining internal tools and data systems that drive efficiency and innovation across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain clean, scalable ETL pipelines using Python to support core data flows across the organization
• Automate internal workflows across Salesforce using Flows, SOQL, and Apex to streamline operations and improve efficiency
• Integrate third-party systems (e.g., FMCSA, quoting platforms, Freshdesk) via REST APIs to centralize data and reduce manual processes
• Research, design, and test AI-driven prompts that automate document parsing, quoting, and customer interaction flows
• Use independent judgment and discretion to identify process improvements and develop tools that support sales, service, and underwriting teams
• Prepare and execute implementation plans for internal software solutions that align with quarterly and annual business objectives
• Collaborate across departments to ensure that leads, submissions, and data insights are routed and used effectively
• Maintain a high level of data quality, security, and system reliability across all custom-built tools and integrations
• Follow the highest standards of ethical conduct, data confidentiality, and security best practices

What we look for:

• Working towards Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with a strong understanding of data structures, APIs, and automation workflows
• Familiarity with Salesforce (SOQL, Apex, Flows) or a strong desire to learn the platform quickly
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization abilities
• Experience working in a cross-functional environment across data, operations, and product teams
• Knowledge of insurance, transportation, or logistics systems is a plus
• Experience with PostgreSQL, REST APIs, React and platforms like Heroku is a plus
• A self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment
