Contract: 6 - 11 months

Hybrid in office: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday

Key Responsibilities

Network Engineering & Support

• Design and manage VLAN, LAN, and WAN routing, including IP addressing and subnetting.
• Provide Tier 3 escalation support for Service Desk incidents.
• Participate in on-call rotation for network support.
• Configure and maintain network hardware and connectivity solutions.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline network operations.
• Translate business requirements into secure, scalable network designs.
• Utilize monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve network issues.
• Collaborate with internal teams, managed service providers, and vendors.
• Document network issues, perform root cause analysis, and propose solutions.

Business & Vendor Relations

• Maintain strong working relationships with end users, service partners, and vendors.
• Ensure timely, professional communication and responsiveness to business needs.

Team Communication & Coordination

• Report unresolved or escalated network issues to management.
• Participate in team meetings and cross-functional project discussions.
• Support cross-training initiatives and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Documentation & Compliance

• Create and maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and audit reports.
• Ensure network operations align with internal policies, industry standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI).

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Certifications

• Required: Cisco CCNP or Juniper JNCIS
• Preferred: Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+)

Experience

• 5–8 years of hands-on experience in network engineering or related roles.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN, NAT, QoS/CoS, STP, and IGP/BGP routing protocols.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco routers/switches, wireless networks, and VoIP.
• Knowledge of network monitoring and configuration management tools.
• Understanding of voice, data, and video service integration.
• Familiarity with SLAs, PCI compliance, and network security best practices
