The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is a leadership role that manages a team of Territory Sales Representatives (TSR). The RSM is responsible for motivating team members to exceed expectations and achieve their sales goals /metrics while also growing/developing relationships with the top accounts in their region. The region will be the Northeast US including New England.
This is a role that is going to be out in the field a large portion of the time working with reps and meeting with customers. This is not a role working in a home office most of the time, although the incumbent’s office will be at home.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Leads regional TSR team in growing customer relationships and achieving and exceeding revenue and gross profit goals.
• Oversees shadowing experiences for new TSRs to ensure effective onboarding and skill development
• Conduct weekly individual meetings with TSRs for training and coaching
• Develop, design and manage a regional business plan for their team.
• Develops and maintains relationships with top accounts in region with support from TSRs.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with key accounts
• Coaches TSRs to refine selling / technical / territory management skills and provides clear and consistent feedback.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Communications, or a related field is required.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in sales leadership or similar roles within the veterinary or healthcare industry.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a successful team
• Strong coaching mindset and communication skills
• Ability to travel in the region and national events / meetings
