Job Description

A highly regard client in the real estate sector is seeking a mid-level associate or counsel level attorney, with 4+ years of relevant experience to join their dynamic Real Estate Practice in Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional to work on sophisticated real estate matters in a collaborative and client-focused environment. A defined promotional path and mentorship from senior leadership, will be offered from the start. The role sits in a hybrid (2 days in office) structure in Chicago.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent national and regional real estate owners, developers, and investors in a broad range of transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and construction.
  • Advise institutional and private lenders on construction and acquisition financing, as well as other real estate-related lending matters.
  • Take an active role in drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, lease documents, loan agreements, development contracts, and closing documentation.
  • Manage complex transactions from inception through closing with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and third parties to ensure timely and successful outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in commercial real estate law, ideally within a law firm setting.
  • Demonstrated experience handling real estate transactions, including leasing, financing, development, and construction.
  • Strong understanding of real estate finance and lending practices.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Admission to the Illinois Bar is required.
  • Gradauted with a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
