Position: Packaging Technician Location: Big Sandy Plant – Catlettsburg, KY

Hours of work:  Full-time position with hours Monday-Friday 9:00 – 5:00PM The Packaging Technician performs the full range of assignments involved in functioning within a self-directed work team. The Packaging Technician is primarily responsible for the packaging and screening of activated carbon products.

 
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)

• With the guidance of the Warehouse & Shipping Manager and with the assistance of the Team, the Packaging Technician is responsible for the packaging of finished product and by-products in accordance with established manufacturing procedures on all production lines and in all areas
• Paperwork associated with packing product
• Understanding and maintaining a dust-free environment by assuring all dust abatement equipment is in place and working correctly
• Responsible for working with Maintenance to minimize packaging area product and dust leaks, as well as maintaining a safe workplace
  
   

Qualifications

• A  high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
• 0-2 years of manufacturing experience is required
• Previous supervisor experience is preferred
