Physician Assistant - Orthopedic General Surgery

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

• Will do first assist in general surgery as well as doing clinicals and some rounding
• The candidate must be willing to participate in the coverage of sports events.
• The Candidate must be willing to take calls (on average, 3-4 nights per month).
• The Candidate must be willing to participate comprehensively in the management of the practice—this includes assisting with the conduct of necessary administrative work in addition to clinical duties. A 40-50-hour work week is to be expected.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• 5 8-hour shifts with a little call
• 3 days a week will be in the clinic
• 2 days a week you will be doing orthopedic general surgery, including hips, shoulders, wrists, joints, etc

Qualifications:

• Must be an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
• The Candidate must have prior surgical/OR experience and at least 2 years of first assist experience, including the ability to sew/close incisions in the OR. This eliminates any fresh out-of-school candidates.
