Job Title: Mobile Medical Assistant (Assisted Living Facilities) – Northeast Metro Atlanta

Reports to: Mobile MA Team Lead

Position Summary

Ascend Medical is looking for a compassionate and adaptable Mobile Medical Assistant to provide on-site care to patients in assisted living facilities across Northeast Metro Atlanta. In this dynamic role, you will work directly alongside providers, ensuring seamless and high-quality care for elderly patients in their living communities. From assisting with clinical procedures to facilitating patient-provider interactions, you'll play a vital role in enhancing health outcomes, building trusted relationships, and delivering care with empathy and precision.

Key Responsibilities

As a Mobile Medical Assistant, you will:

• Travel to assisted living facilities to support providers in delivering compassionate, high-quality care.
• Build trusted relationships with patients, caregivers, and facility staff to enhance patient experiences.
• Assist providers during patient visits by recording medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints in Athena EMR.
• Prepare patients for exams, assist with procedures, and ensure all necessary equipment is ready and sanitized.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect lab specimens for routine testing.
• Administer medications under provider supervision, apply dressings, and assist with minor procedures.
• Coordinate patient care by scheduling follow-ups, managing referrals, and assisting with chronic disease management.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, medication instructions, and wellness strategies.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards while maintaining a safe and organized mobile clinical environment.
• Serve as a key liaison between the medical team, patients, and assisted living staff.
