Job Description

Akkodis is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work on molding machines, automation equipment, and facility systems for a contractual opportunity with a client in Gurnee, IL. This position plays a vital role in ensuring equipment reliability and supporting production and safety initiatives across the organization.

Schedule

Split Schedule: 4 days on / 3 days off (12-hour shifts)

• 12 hour shift 2 week cycle (flexible)

1st Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:00 PM

2nd Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM

Pay/Salary: $30/hour - $35/hour (W2) - The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on injection molding machines and related equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
• Read and interpret electrical schematics for diagnostics and repair
• Replace, repair, and maintain ionizers and other cleanroom-related components
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs
• Work safely in a clean room environment (PPE provided)
• Support team initiatives and production needs with a positive, solutions-focused attitude

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a 2-year technical degree is preferred.
• Experience working with injection molding equipment (medical device or similar preferred)
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to learn quickly and take initiative
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Clean room experience is a plus
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, ladders, movable stairs, and standard safety equipment.
• Ability to be on-call when required.
• Willingness to support team needs and grow within the role
• Steel-toe shoes are not provided
