Description We are looking for a skilled part-time Legal Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Pennington, New Jersey. Responsibilities: - Prepare and manage legal documents with a focus on accuracy and compliance. - Handle e-filing processes efficiently for various legal cases and transactions. - Support attorneys with commercial litigation and corporate transaction tasks. - Maintain organized filing systems for legal documents and correspondence. - Conduct research and compile relevant information for case preparations. - Assist in drafting and proofreading contracts and other legal materials. - Coordinate schedules and deadlines to ensure timely submission of filings. - Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and other parties as needed. - Ensure adherence to legal protocols and confidentiality standards. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a law office or legal assistant role. - Proficiency in e-filing systems and processes. - Familiarity with commercial litigation and corporate transactions. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. - Ability to work independently and adapt to a flexible schedule. - High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality. - Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
