Job Description
A leading heavy industrial manufacturer is seeking a Lab Technician to join its Quality Department. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on lab, machining, or metals experience who wants to grow in a stable and well-established organization.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform materials testing including tensile, impact, grain size, Jominy hardenability, chemical analysis, and microstructure evaluations.
- Retrieve, prepare, and section test samples using band saws, Mazak tooling, abrasive systems, and CNC tooling.
- Record and enter test results using standard procedures and basic computer programs (Excel/Word).
- Maintain consumables such as grinding papers, carbide inserts, saw blades, and tooling.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of lab equipment (tensile and impact testing machines, Mazak tooling, abrasive sand systems).
- Provide support for process trials and failure analysis investigations.
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, machining, or metals lab setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with material testing procedures.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Comfortable working in an industrial lab (not a medical or sterile lab).
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- ISO 9001 experience is a plus.

Schedule: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday (occasional Saturday overtime at time-and-a-half)
