SUMMARY

An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Laboratory Manager within the Essential Oils sector. This full-time role involves managing a small team dedicated to research, development, and quality control of customized citrus and spice blends for use in flavor and fragrance applications. The position combines team oversight, project accountability, and hands-on technical work. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise and guide a technical team of 3–5 R&D staff to ensure effective execution of both client-specific and internal formulation projects.
• Oversee laboratory operations, ensuring that quality benchmarks and timelines are met for essential oil blends and specialty products.
• Engage directly in lab activities, contributing to product formulation, quality control processes, and technical problem-solving.
• Facilitate collaboration with departments such as Production, Quality Assurance, and Sales to ensure alignment on project goals and operational strategies.
• Deliver consistent performance feedback, mentoring, and training to uphold quality and professional development standards.
• Ensure rigorous compliance with SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements across all laboratory activities.
• Take on additional tasks as designated by leadership to support the division’s continued growth and innovation.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 5 years of laboratory or manufacturing experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management role.
• Hands-on experience or knowledge in essential oils, formulation chemistry, or applications in the flavor/fragrance industry.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and regulatory compliance standards.
