HVAC Designer

Join Our Design Team – HVAC Focus

Our client is building a design team that serves as the brain behind the complex and intricate systems on their large-scale projects. As the HVAC Designer , you’ll play a key role in shaping airflow distribution, equipment selection, and ductwork layouts to ensure seamless coordination with both mechanical and electrical scopes.

Position Responsibilities

• Modify documents per Project Manager/Estimator and Fab Shop markups
• Export to DWG and other formats for collaboration
• Sketch or model layouts and compute airflow requirements, duct sizes, weights, surface areas, dimensions, tolerances, and clearances
• Apply knowledge of HVAC systems, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete accurate drawings
• Follow Revit standards and procedures
• Participate in Revit/Fabrication/coordination meetings
• Assist during project setup
• Create Spool drawings and coordination documents
• Utilize Lean Construction or Manufacturing principles where applicable
• Collaborate across construction teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency

Here’s What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of design and coordination experience
• Revit/Navisworks Manage (knowledge of work-sharing, coordination, and modeling)
• AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, and Fabrication CADMEP, Trimble VDC Pro+
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with Document Management Tools such as Bluebeam, Procore, PlanGrid, Autodesk Build, and ACC
• Field experience preferred
• Knowledge of HVAC fabrication methods and processes preferred
