Job Title: Senior HRIS Administrator, People Systems & Optimization (ADP Workforce Now)

Location: On-site in Office

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Senior HRIS Administrator Manager to lead, optimize, and evolve our ADP Workforce Now environment. This role blends the mindset of a systems strategist, the agility of a builder, and the tactical grit of a hands-on HR tech owner. This role is not a people manager but is a impact leader with high autonomy leading the performance, integration, and future vision of Human Resources (HR) systems.

Key Responsibilities:

System Ownership & Strategic Integration

  • Act as the technical and functional owner of ADP Workforce Now, ensuring system integrity, performance, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Drive innovation and build a phased HR tech roadmap, beginning with ADP mastery and expanding into the broader HR application stack (ATS, LMS, performance management) as needed.
  • Continuously test, pilot, and evaluate new functionality, keeping a backlog of high-impact improvements and cross-functional integration needs

Tactical Execution & Optimization

  • Configure workflows, manage data integrity, and lead real-time troubleshooting with a proactive, builder’s mindset.
  • Streamline HR operations through automation, simplified processes, and seamless user experiences for employees and managers.
  • Treat the system like a product lifecycle iterating, improving, and delivering on stakeholder needs like a true systems entrepreneur.

Data, Documentation & Decision Support

  • Develop and maintain high-quality system documentation, SOPs, and business process guides, built to scale, and support knowledge transfer.
  • Produce advanced reports, dashboards, and data exports that translate HR activity into actionable insight.
  • Lead system audits and data reconciliations to uphold data security, compliance, and payroll accuracy.

Training, Adoption & Change Leadership

  • Build a training-first culture by designing live sessions, video walkthroughs, and evergreen onboarding resources.
  • Serve as a go-to system learning coach for HR, operations, and business partners, helping users feel confident and empowered in the systems, applications, and tools with the environment.
  • Champion user adoption through empathy, user feedback loops, and ongoing support.

Vendor Relationship Management & Cost Optimization

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ADP , leading business reviews, contract discussions, and feature rollouts.
  • Manage license utilization, configuration decisions, and integration opportunities with a focus on cost savings and ROI .
  • Keep a pulse on the industry—attending ADP user groups, webinars, and communities to bring back relevant innovation.

What You’ll Build:

  • A fully optimized, scalable, and well-documented ADP ecosystem

  • An evolving HR tech stack starting with achieving the optimal performance ADP products and services

Qualifications:

  • 5–7+ years of progressive HRIS experience with expert-level knowledge of ADP Workforce Now
  • Strong technical and functional skills and knowledge in payroll processing and management of the employee lifecycle in an ADP environment
  • Proven history of building or owning HR systems (configuration, data audits, integrations, and training)
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, compliance, and cross-functional business needs
  • High technical aptitude with Excel, ADP custom reporting, integrations, and automation workflows
  • Exceptional documentation and training design experience
  • A mindset rooted in experimentation, improvement, and business value
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Systems, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent work experience

Compensation:

The projected annual salary is estimated at $120,000 - $130,000 per year, based on years of demonstrated experience, representing the span of the range. The actual compensation will be formulated by the client and may vary based on factors that include, but are not limited to, the position offered, work experience, education, training, and commensurate experience.
