We are adding a Human Resources (HR) Generalist to our team!

The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting the Adams team. This multi-faceted position is responsible for delivering a positive team member experience through effective recruitment, onboarding, and day to day support of the team. Working closely with managers and team members, the HR Generalist helps to foster a collaborative and high performing culture. 

 

Qualifications:  

  • Education:  Associates Degree or above in HR or five-years of HR experience is required.
  • Experience:  Minimum of 5 years of experience in supporting multiple functions, such as recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance in a fast growing organization. 
  • Knowledge & Skills:  Solid understanding of federal and state employment laws, a working knowledge of HR compliance requirements, and familiarity with benefit programs and open enrollment processes. Strong interpersonal skills and technological proficiency. 
  • Software Proficiency:  Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms. 
  • Communication Skills:  Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders. 
  • Problem Solving:  Ability to anticipate challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions under pressure. 
  • Driver’s License:  Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and a willingness to travel to job sites as needed. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (as related to our Company Core Values):  

 

Integrity:  

  • Complete required reporting and filings such as EEO-1, OSHA logs, benefit program notifications/disclosures, and other compliance-related documentation 
  • Maintain team member records and ensure accuracy of HRIS data 
  • Monitor leave tracking and ensure compliance with FMLA and other applicable leave laws 
  • Assist with investigations, documentation, and administration related to workplace incidents/accidents or corrective actions 

People:  

  • Serve as a point of contact for team member questions and concerns regarding policies, benefits, and procedures 
  • Respond to team member benefit inquiries and assist with open enrollment, qualifying life events, and general plan navigation 
  • Partner with managers to address team member relations matters and support coaching efforts 

Partnership:  

  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and offer processing 
  • Support and coordinate company-wide initiatives such as performance management/review programs, team member compensation reviews, open enrollment, or wellness efforts 

Attitude:  

  • Manage multiple HR priorities with professionalism, discretion, and responsiveness 
  • Build trust with team members and managers through timely and thoughtful support 

Excellence:  

  • Track and report HR metrics that support informed decision-making and compliance 
  • Conduct new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for all team members 

Stewardship:  

  • Safeguard confidential employee information and handle sensitive matters responsibly 
  • Actively participate and drive safety initiatives and programs throughout the organization

Physical Demands:  

This position operates in a professional office environment with visits to other work sites as needed. This role may involve periods of sitting, standing, and light physical activity related to office equipment or training setup. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required. 

Work Environment:  

The position involves a mix of office-based planning and field work. The employee will visit active construction or service sites, which may expose them to varying weather conditions, noise levels, and hazards typically associated with electrical and low voltage work. Appropriate safety protocols and PPE must be followed at all times. Travel between job sites and client locations is expected, and occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines or respond to urgent issues.

Pay & Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $62,000 - $80,000, based on recent, relevant experience in a specific HR role, with education & training considered.
