Job Description

Ryan Mechanical, Inc. is seeking an experienced HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical Piping Estimator for commercial and industrial projects.

Position Summary

The Estimator will be responsible for all aspects of preparing competitive bids and managing the estimation process for HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical Piping projects while maintaining relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. The estimator will work closely with the Company’s current estimation and project management staff.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare pre-qualification packages for bid opportunities.

· Attend pre-bid meetings and onsite job walks.

· Perform computerized take-offs while accurately reviewing plans, specifications, and job conditions.

· Gather and evaluate bids from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.

· Resolve cost and scope discrepancies prior to bid.

· Preparing all necessary bid documents and submitting complete bid packages.

· Negotiating contracts and maintaining strong relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and clients.

Required Qualifications

· Minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience and 5 years of HVAC, Plumbing, and Mechanical Piping estimating experience.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Proven negotiation skills and the ability to establish budgets and schedules.

· Multi-tasking and leadership capabilities in team settings.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Primavera, and Trimble Estimation Software.

· OSHA 10 certification (minimum).
