DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Manager with extensive experience in construction industry accounting to manage all facets of finance and operations, including AIA billing, Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, ESOP administration, and compliance. The ideal candidate is both strategic and detail-oriented, with a proven track record of leading teams and developing processes that support long-term growth.

YOU WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Financial Leadership & Succession
• Acting as right hand to the CFO with a clear succession plan to CFO role.
• Driving strategic financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
• Accounting Operations Oversight
• Managing General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) with accuracy and timeliness.
• Leading the Cost Accounting function – job costing, variance analysis, labor and material tracking.
• Preparing and analyzing Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports and supporting executive decision-making.
• Overseeing AIA billing, lien releases, contract compliance, and retention tracking.
• Leadership & Development
• Mentoring and managing accounting staff with assistance of CFO to start and then growth to lead.
• Partnering with operations, project management, and executives to ensure financial alignment.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Construction Accounting Expertise: AIA billing, WIP, revenue recognition, cost-to-complete.
• Systems Knowledge: Construction, such as Sage and Procore
• Accounting Leadership: Oversight of AP/AR, GL, payroll, job cost tracking, subcontract compliance.
