BullishIQ is partnering with an innovative solid-state battery company. Its solid-state lithium battery (SSLB) technology enables the production of lightweight, and cost-effective rechargeable batteries for diverse applications. The company’s products find application in the manufacturing of hearables, wearables, and connected sensors.

The client is seeking a a highly motivated Battery Cell Electrical Test Engineer to join our team in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You will be responsible for the development and support of automated electrical test solutions for solid-state lithium-ion battery production. This role is based in San Jose, CA and it involves close collaboration with Operations, Applications, and Product teams and requires strong cross-functional coordination and problem-solving skills.

What You’ll Do:

• Define and develop test requirements for battery cell evaluation and production.
• Design test fixtures, electrical PCBs, and develop software for automated test systems.
• Implement automated test protocols and perform data acquisition and analysis for solid-state batteries.
• Support rapid development and deployment of test solutions for new product introduction, process characterization, and high-volume manufacturing.
• Conduct statistical data analysis and create scripts or tools as needed to manage and maintain test databases.

What You Should Have:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE or higher).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical testing and automated test systems.
• Strong hands-on experience in electrical testing, test setup/debug, and PCB design is a
• must.
• Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques and data interpretation.
• Proficiency in test development using Python and/or LabVIEW (preferred).
• Prior experience with battery testing and evaluation (preferred).
• Strong team player with excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Experience in system-level testing is a plus.

The client offers a comprehensive compensation package for this role, including a base salary, bonus and awarded Subscription Rights (SR). The final offer is determined during the interview process and is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, internal equity, education, skill set, experience and training.
